Introducing Greg and His Glorious Gardens

Ayrburn

Here at Ayrburn, Greg’s blonde curls are almost as well known as the gardens themselves. You’ll find this Head Gardener carefully tending to each and every plant across the precinct with utmost care, from the dahlias in the flower farm to the hanging baskets in The Bakehouse. When asked about his favourite flower, Greg compared the question to being asked to pick a favourite child, although he eventually confessed that he finds hydrangeas rather hard to beat (of which we have 24 varieties in the flower farm alone).

Pick of the Bunch

Greg has been hard at work this February. Not only did he prepare the most beautiful blooms for you to delight your loved ones for Valentine's Day, but he also stepped away from the trowel to lead guided tours of our sprawling grounds as part of Plunket’s Gardens + Galleries event. All proceeds from this worthwhile event went towards supporting families in the Wakatipu Basin.   Make sure you grab your bunch of Ayrburn-grown flowers in R.M Prime Produce next time you visit.
